I am so excited to share I am RALEIGH BOUND! Starting August 7, 2017, I will begin a new adventure as the Director of Student Involvement at William Peace University. In this role, I will get the chance to oversee the team responsible for student activities, orientation, student organizations and civic engagement. William Peace University is a small, private, co-educational institution located in the heart of Downtown Raleigh. The institution is going through tremendous growth and some amazing things are on the horizon. I am thankful to get the chance to be there during this time.
It is bittersweet to say I will be leaving The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on July 31st. The last four years have been truly transformative for me as a person and professional. I am thankful this institution took on this (too) energetic, bright-eyed masters graduate and provided me the opportunity establish myself. More thank yous to UTC to come, but for now I simply say: thank you.
I am so excited to share I have been chosen to join the facilitator roster for Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women's "Critical Conversations" Prevention Education Program! As a facilitator, I will travel to four chapters across the country each year to deliver one of the program's workshops around risk management and accountability. I have admired this program for quite some time, hearing such awesome things about the impact it is making to help sorority women be advocates for health, safety and responsibility. To be part of such a well respected program is a privilege.
I am so excited to head to the organization's headquarters in St. Louis in June for training. Plus, some of my favorite facili-friends and colleagues like Dan Faill (Elon University) and Matt Lumpp (University of New Mexico) are new additions too so it's going to be a great experience.
Big thanks again to Pi Beta Phi for this opportunity and to my institution for their support in adding (another) facilitation responsibility to my plate!
